I am the Music Director of Heartland Presbyterian Church in Clive, IA. There I arrange for and lead the jazz ensemble for the 10 a.m. worship and directs and compose/arrange for the vocal ensemble.  I've also hosted an annual Christmas concert, "Hey! It's Christmas!",  a showcase of all the ensembles and individuals within the congregation.  On May 21, 2017 I was privileged to  invite members of the Des Moines Symphony, the Central Iowa Wind Ensemble, and members of three local church choirs to perform Ralph Vaughan Williams' Five Mystical Songs.  I performed the baritone solo and Eric Mohlis, the 10-12 choir director at Dallas Center-Grimes High School, conducted the choir and orchestra.  That performance can be heard on my JAZZ page.

I am also an active jazz pianist having played the classic jazz albums A Love Supreme by John Coltrane, Kind of Blue by Miles Davis, Take Five by Dave Brubeck, Return to Forever&Light as a Feather by Chick Corea, and A Charlie Brown Christmas by Vince Guaraldi.   I have also had the honor of been a guest soloist with the Ames High School Orchestra performing Claude Bolling's Suite for Chamber Orchestra and Jazz Piano Trio.  You can hear several of those performances on the JAZZ page as well.

In a more recent development, I am composing music for video games and other digital media and would love to do more.  I specialize in RPG style music, especially music that centers around piano, however, I am versatile in all genres.  Please fill the form out below if you would like me to add music to your projects.  You can also listen to my portfolio and assorted works at my COMPOSITION page.

In addition to composing for media, I have begun a project titled Snowi Owel.  You can purchase my album on band camp.  Snowi Owel draws inspiration from my many different loves in music.  There are aspects of electronica, jazz, classical, chant, ambient, video game music, and various others wrapped in a 13 track package.  I hope you enjoy listening to this passion project as much as I enjoy making it!
